A New Project

My blog turned a grand old age of 2 last week. I can’t believe I’ve actually kept it going for that long and, according to my word press stats, I’ve written over 350 posts. Wow. That’s a fair bit of waffling really isn’t it?

I never anticipated it would go on for so long. I thought my interest in it would just die out around the 6 month mark but It just sort of sucked me in. Completely! And here we are 2 years on and I still love it!

It’s introduced me to all sorts. New people, new friends, new perspectives. Without which I think I would have sunk as a new clueless mum. In those early and sometime dark times it became a massive support network for me.

One of the latest new things I’ve discovered through it is the wonderful world of photography. I’m still playing with my new camera and loving taking shots like this. Look at the blurriness. (I have no idea what the professional term is).

lightning Mcqueen

I have another new project brewing in my head at the moment. After a lot of thought and procrastination I have decided to take the step of turning my blog into an ebook. It’s something I’ve wanted to do for a while but not really had the courage, and sometimes motivation, to take the plunge. I’m planning on using some of my best posts and adding in some unwritten musings that have been sat in the back of my mind for a while. I hope people will read it.

I have about 10 people so far that say they would read it. So that’s good, right?

The blur is called depth of field 🙂 it is an incredibly powerful tool and can make all the difference with a photo. The lower the aperture number the more the background will be out of focus, basically.

Congrats on the blog birthday, it’s pretty cool. I love blogging but I’ve found the challenge now is finding the time to blog as the toddler takes up so much time and doesn’t nap any more!!

    Good job 🙂

The blurriness is called depth of field chick, and you and your camera do it really well. It helps focus the attention on the subject of the composition. You can either have the foreground blurry or the background. I’m a big fan of this.
