Baker Days are a company that specialise in personalised cakes for all sorts of occasions including birthdays, get well soon cakes, good luck cakes and even bon voyage cakes. All cakes are round and come in 4 different sizes and a variety of flavours. The nice little bonus is that they include candles and balloons.
So when they asked if I’d like to review one of their letter box cakes I was very happy to oblige.
The cake itself arrived in a perfectly sized cake tin and with a packet of balloons packed to one side.
I know how much Little Z likes cakes. Not eating them, mind, just the blowing out the candles part. As soon as he sees a lit candle on a cake he flies into action gathering his audience around him. He will then sing the Happy Birthday son very loudly to himself with great gusto and blow out the candle. There is always a round of applause at the end which everyone must participate in.
So we went with a carrot cake with a personalised message to Little Z. One that read:
He absolutely loved singing and blowing the candle out and we loved polishing off the very very nice carrot cake at lightning speed.
I always compare this type of “gift potential” product to flowers and would recommend it to anyone that would like to send a bit more of a personalised gift that tastes nice. All cakes start at £14.99 and can be delivered the next day if ordered by 2pm.
