Win a £75 iTunes or Google Voucher with HTC One M9

There is a fantastic giveaway on the blog this month, courtesy of Three Mobile to celebrate the launch of the brand new HTC One M9.

HTC One M9

If there’s one thing I love is to take one too many photos with my phone and then to message it to everyone I know. Ever since Little Z came along that’s probably increased about three fold. The HTC One M9 has an impressive 20 megapixel camera, a 26.8mm lens and a standby battery life of 402 hours it gives a trigger happy phone lover the perfect little gadget to take along to all trips.

Three Mobile are offering one very lucky winner a £75 Google or an iTunes voucher depending on your phone. All you have to do to enter the giveaway is to answer one question by leaving a comment below:

“What’s the best photo editing app and why”

For a bonus entry you can tweet about the comp with whatever you would like. Please remember to also include the following:

#CompWithHTC @notmyyearoff http://notmyyearoff.com/2015/05/win-a-75-itune…ith-htc-one-m9/

A winner will be picked at random on the 1st June 2015 and will be informed via email.

Terms and Conditions for Entrants

1. The competition will run for 30 days from the date of announcement.

2. To enter the competition, participants must submit a comment with the answer to the question published on the competition post (‘What’s the best photo editing app and why?’). Additionally entrants can take part sharing their comment on Twitter using the hashtag provided.

Adobe Photoshop CS – I use this on a regular basis and although it can be difficult to learn once you have the basics there`s really no going back. Simple imaging apps just dont cut the mustard when it comes to resizing with quality, cutting selections or true colour tones. That being said, if you have to limit yourself to app based only, then im with others for snapseed for the basic user who doesnt need all the bangs and whistles of editing software.

  20. Caroline Clarke May 2, 2015 / 6:10 am

Snap seed because it is so easy to use. It makes my photos look so proffesional.

  121. Jeremy Hards May 30, 2015 / 12:49 pm

Lightroom. Not suitable for adding or removing items for photos but great for adjusting exposure, saturation, contrast etc. Very flexible and also great for managing a library of photos.

I took some photos in a cave at ISO6400 and they appeared to be black. A few clicks in Lightroom and I have photos of the cave with all the wonderful colurs etc. A bit grainy but that is the be expected when very underexposed at ISO6400.

Photoshop is much more expensive and overkill if most of your photos just need adjusting to correct exposure etc as opposed to faking what the camera saw.

Lightroom for mobile is also quite good.

  122. Florence Cross May 30, 2015 / 12:56 pm

  158. Kiran Parry May 31, 2015 / 8:42 pm

I have to say photo bucket because I have only ever tried this and paint shop pro. With photobucket you can resize images and there are a lot of ways in which you could change the image. Photobucket is a fun programme because there are so many effects you can use. You can make the image lighter or darker and you can always learn something when using the programme. When I started using it, it was a lot of trial and error but I got some good results when I was trying to be creative.
