What better time for the president’s granddaughter to post a YouTube video about her trip to the country’s least-affordable grocery store? In a video on Sunday, titled “I Brought My Secret Service to Erewhon,” Kai Trump documented her shopping spree at Erewhon in Los Angeles. Among her purchases were a $13 bottle of water, a $20 jar of dates, and a variety of vitamins and supplements. She also got the viral Hailey Bieber smoothie, which she dubbed “really good,” but had less-than-positive reviews for the sushi, calling it the “worst tuna I’ve ever tasted in my life.” “I don’t want anyone to experience what I just experienced,” she said, before seemingly tossing out the nearly full box.
Naturally, Kai picked up some Erewhon merch on her shopping trip. She purchased a water bottle but appeared to skip the Erewhon-branded hoodie after hearing it was priced at $165. “I’m about to go bankrupt with this stuff,” said Kai, who just last year was selling $130 sweatshirts with her initials on them.
Look, who among us hasn’t spent $233 on some mediocre groceries? You just don’t see the rest of us posting a 20-minute vlog about it. Good luck to the president’s granddaughter on her aspiring influencer career, I guess.
